Find approved courses, online programs, and professional development opportunities to maintain your license. 99 The California Funeral Directors Association (CFDA) offers several resources on their website, including a list of funeral director schools in the state, information on regulations and requirements, and access to continuing education courses. Continuing Education (CE) approval of NFDA courses and events varies by state/province. Successfully pass both portions, Arts and Science, of the National Board Examine written by the Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards. Most employers require applicants to be 21 years old, have at least 2 years of formal postsecondary education, have supervised training, and pass a state licensing exam. Although NFDA strives to meet all state/province licensing board requirements for CE approval, we do not have any control over which courses are or are not approved by your licensing board.
